Roughly how much of a discount should I expect to get on a 2010 Ram if I get a full employee discount?

A close family member is a Chrysler employee and he can let me use his discount on a new truck. About how much should I expect to get off a 2010 Ram 1500 4X4 that stickers at about $33,000? Is there a set discount or does it vary from car to car?

    The employee price is a fixed price that’s actually written on the invoice, it’s not a specific dollar amount or percentage discount.

    I have purchased two Ford’s this way, if Chrysler works the same, that price should be somewhat less (maybe 2-3 thousand) than the published “dealer invoice” price that you can get at Edmunds.com or any number of other web sites. A good deal for you, you get a great price without the hassle of negotiation.
