i have to write a letter stating why i have choosen the trucking industry as a driver as a good career path.i have over ten years experience driving spotters and seems like natural progression as far as financing goes.i am not good with writing letters so i guess my question is are there any places that assist with these types of problems.and it has to include stats about wages, number of job openings .

I am not a good writer also with 38 years on paper with the social security as a worker 15 of those years or more would be driving a truck. I have been owner operator also! I am currently in central Florida. The past 10 years i have resided in Florida 5 of those years no job, yeah there maybe jobs out there but the term or conditions to me are unacceptable. I want hourly rate of $20.00 or more plus Monday-Friday daytime work schedule. All the truck driving jobs i have taken when working have been anything BUT meeting those requirements! I quit a yard jockey job at $19.00 per hour cause after working nights & the high turnover positioning me for better hours seniority-wise they put a junior on days. That was it for me i hate nights or graveyard anyway! I like yard jockey ok but daytime only! It seems extremely difficult to get the good driver positions. No i am not going out OTR filling log books either which is easily availiable! So i still need gainfull employment.
