I plan on using this for:

1. Music recording purposes
2. Midi transposing
3. Watching movies connected from the PC to the T.V. I have an HDTV, will I be able to configure this to play HD movies from my PC to the TV?
4. Solitaire

Will this PC meet that? What would I need to add/change to be able to use this PC for that?

Thanks.

Probably, it’s a little old, but it all depends on the price. How much are you wanting to spend?

Should be fine… Much more than enough, really.

As the answer above mine stated, you’d obviously want a high quality audio card if you’re going to be recording anything serious.
