Well my Step dad just ordered a MSI HD 3850 OC Edition Graphics card and now i’m having second thoughts about if it will work, here’s my PSU’s Specifications:

AC Input: 220-240V -, 4.5AM 50Hz
Max. DC OUTPUT:350W (+3.3V & +5V = 130W Max)
DC OUTPUT:
+3.3V===22.0A(ORG),
+5V===21.0A(RED),
+12V1 === 10.0A(YEL)
+12V2 === 15.0A(YEL/BLACK),
+5VSB===2.0A(PURP),
-12V===0.3A(BLUE

FSP GROUP INC.
Fotron/Source
Model No.: FSP350-60THA-P

The Power supply is around 5 Years/4 Years Old so Capacitor Aging may be a problem but here’s my Setup:

Fujitsu Siemens Case Front:
2 USB port
Audio Jacks(2)
Card Reader
DVD/CD DL-RW Combo Drive
DVD-Rom Drive

Motherboard: Asus P5GD1-FM/s
Rear/Back:
1 Serial port
1 Optical Sound port
4 USB Ports
1 Firewire
1 10/100 Ethernet Port
6 Audio Ports.

PCI Card: 56k FAX Modem

Hard drive: Maxtor 250GB

I know this doesn’t really matter but whatever the more information the better:

OS: Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3
Anti-Virus: Avast Home Edition

Help Guys i need it

    I’m not sure he will be able to run it, but you should just try it out.
    If it doesn’t work after you tried you can always order a newer/better PSU.

    If you are planning to buy a new one anyway, I would recommend a Coolermaster or Zalman with atleast 600Watt.

    no.
    add up the watts of your components, if you cant see it multiply the volts with amps (W= V x A).
    than add about 33% for margine,
    This PS was crappy when it was new, get another one a 500 watts cost 19-30$

    According to one review, the power supply requirement is 450W. Not 350W. Also adding that it’s an OC it may require double the power supply so you’d be aiming for 900W. 700W if it has eco efficiency that cuts it down to the 350W.

    I would not hook it up on your five year old computer though. You should replace the power supply to meet the 450W requirement.

    I wouldn’t turn on overclocking either if you have no experience doing overclocking. It requires near double the power supply, a direct feed on some cards, and sufficient cooling.

    At your computer age of 5 years old, I would get a new computer first and not risk the factor of buying a new one in a day after turning it on with the video card you are receiving.
