I read alot about Quad Cores being worse for gaming and every day tasks. But they are future proof and some games are beginning to utilize Quads more. So what should I pick, dying Dual? Or Future Proof but lower performance Quad?
As for Graphics, is that card suitable for that mobo? And should I choose the 2048mb Radeon instead?
Will the Case and the extra cooling be ok? and Will the rig get too hot?
I heard vista can’t hande 6gig of ram, and when it finally manages to it uses 85% on idle. Will the motherboard and Vista itself suppor this Corsair XMS3 1600MHz (6×2gb) RAM setup?
Motherboard looks good, will it be sufficient for the future and is it OK with everything listed.
I don’t know much about gaming PC’s. I’m good with PC’s but not all hardware techy style. I can’t build PC’s either which is why I am willing to spend a good £2000-£2800 quid.
If there are any experts who can advise a better setup which is future friendly. Please let me know.
I also have msn – ljdriley@gmail.com
PEACE n thanks to all.
OK.. someone who knows alot and I mean alot about PCs, build me a ultimately poweful PC from PC specialist. I dont have a clue about SLi and Crossfire. But I want super gaming that can easily do Crysis easily and other games on high… plz, fire away! BUILD! message me on MSN or email me at the same address.

That is an extremely powerful PC that will be future-proof for a long time to come. The only possible upgrade (yet powerful at the moment) would be the graphics card, but you could simply buy a second and run them in SLI, but that wouldn’t be a problem for a few years. As for the quad core, gaming actually requires 4 cores to run perfectly as there are 4 aspects of graphical rendering, this means each core can be assigned part of the process so it can run optimally.
You may need a larger PSU for that hardware though and for cooling, it will get quite hot. I would recommend getting an 800-900W PSU and just add some extra fans.
Otherwise: Perfect PC, no worries.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
