This system has no real video card and the processor is one step behind the most up to date Intel i7. I would not buy this computer. It’s probably the 20″ LCD that is bumping the cost up.

Right now if you need a canned system you can go to Dell and get the Dell Studio XPS for cheap. It has an intel i7 chip, 3GB of tri-channeled RAM(recommend bump to 6GB), decent video card(until you have more $$ to upgrade) for less then $1,000US £667

This same setup on Alienware(also part of Dell) or with their other Dell XPS 730 is going to run you close to $3,000US £2,000

It also has the 64bit operating system and the same hard drive and dual layer DVDRW.

I’m not sure what the other guy below is rambling about. This system costs less than what you have listed up there.

If it is for gaming, you will want a better video card.

Also, I would get a 2.66 GHz CPU so that it is 2 times the FSB. It would be just a bit faster.

Dont worry bout going with an i7 it is to exspensive for what it is worth it isnt bad but if you can i would go with windows xp professional it has alot less bugs in it and you will see a noticably faster pc.

It won’t work so well for gaming because it has a horrible graphics card integrated into the motherboard. Also the processor is the lowest end quad core by Intel. Seriously you can get a way better processor and a decent dedicated graphics card specs for the same money if you look hard.
