What is that wire used to tie down a Car Battery my grandpa used it it was all rusty but it worked just fine?

i have tried bungee cords but they move around no matter how tight you wrap them around i have also tried those hold down kits sold at autoparts store but they won’t work with my battery tray that has broken pieces

    Since it was Grandpa it could have been, probably was, barb wire.

    it was smooth hay bailing wire. it holds Texas together, and everything else in the state.
