What does this random button do, in my Grand Am car?

My CD player in my Grand Am recently died, so i was seeing if i could fix it. When i took of the dash around the player, i found a bunch of cord, wrapped around itself. It then goes to two ends, one is a LED the other goes to a red button. I have pressed it with nothing happening.
the radio is stock.

    then it does nothing right most likely its a reset button of radio but if you press it and nothing happens then guess you need a new radio

    omg…its a missile launce on the Soviet union…..do you have a aftermarket radio/cd player…may just be “leftover stuff” lol
