   Hand them to him in person and give him the reason that you are rewarding him with your tasty cookies. Otherwise dont bother because he will throw them away because you may be some kind of nut case who likes to hurt public service officers.

   I could not think of ANY normal person that would frigging eat stuff left on their car let alone a policeman……………. I would toss them without a second thought, but then again most sane people would.

   Only give them to a cop if you know him/her very well, in person. Cops, more than any other professionals, have to watch their backs because they know that so much of the public dislikes them.

   While it is a nice gesture, there are simply too many untrustworthy people for a law enforcement agent to take the risk. As an Agent, I would rather have a friendly ‘Thank You.’ than anything to eat.
