Can flower do damage to a car engine?

I was hanging out with some friends and we decided to wrap a house and some other people put flower and and some water on the windshield Supposedly some flour got under the hood and did damage to the engine? Is this due to the flower or is it just a coincident?

Doesn’t sound very likely. Strange things you and your friends consider “hanging out”.

Most unlikely. The only way flour could damage an engine is by being placed inside the engine, the air intake, cooling or oil system. Loose flour on the car should be filtered by the air filter and not allowed to enter the engine. The other two ways, require that someone physically place flour in the engine.

You’re using flower (a plant) and flour (a powder ground from wheat) interchangeably in your question. Which one was used? A flower will do nothing. Flour shouldn’t either as it’s no different than dust and should be trapped by the air filter. Worst it could is clog the filter requiring it to be replaced. However I don’t consider it fun and games to mess up some ones house and/or car. Do that around my place and you’ll be in the emergency ward having buck shot removed from your back sides.

It’s possible if large amounts entered the intake. It’s unlikely but possible.

It is more likely that your “friends” thought it would be funny to vandalize YOUR car.
